✅ The 3-to-5 Petition would allow voters to decide whether to increase the number of Douglas County commissioners from three to five.

Today, Douglas County’s three commissioners are elected at large to represent nearly 400,000 residents and oversee a budget approaching $700 million. Supporters of the initiative argue that expanding the Board and electing commissioners by geographic regions would provide more local representation, greater transparency, and stronger accountability.

Signing the petition does not mean you support or oppose the initiative. It simply gives Douglas County voters the opportunity to decide the issue at the ballot box this November.
