My Background
I’ve called Douglas County home for 35 years, raising my children here with my wife and serving our neighbors in many ways. I believe a legislature with diverse cultural backgrounds is essential for effective and equitable governance. My commitment to our community is a lifelong calling, and I will continue to serve with integrity and heart.
My Story
For 35 years, my wife and I have proudly called Douglas County our home. We brought up our three beautiful daughters here, grew a thriving small business, an IT career, and became very active in the community. I've seen what makes Douglas County great, from schools to safety to opportunity, and how politics can hinder progress. I'm seeing families having issues with higher costs, housing prices, and schools lacking funds. I understand our potential when neighbors collaborate for smart, lasting solutions.
Serving Colorado Through Civic Leadership
My commitment to service extends beyond elected offices. For years, I have taken on critical roles in local and state advisory boards that impact education, community investment, and accountability.

Member, Colorado State Advisory Council for Parent Involvement in Education
Improved statewide family-school partnerships. -
Chair, City of Parker’s Authority for Reinvestment Advisory Committee
Helped guide infrastructure investments and local development strategies. -
Member, ESSA Accountability Stakeholder Committee – Colorado Department of Education
Shaped policies to improve student outcomes across Colorado. -
Member, Douglas County School District Accountability Committee & School Accountability Committee
Provided community oversight on educational equity and district priorities.

Elected to the Douglas County School Board in November 2017, I oversaw a $700 million budget and represented 63,000+ students.

In May of 2022, I won the election for South Metro Fire Rescue Board, representing more than 570,000 residents; I was re-elected unopposed in May of 2025.

I started as a Trustee of South Metro Volunteer Firefighter Pension Board in May 2022.

In January of 2024, I became a Commissioner for the Castle Pines Urban Renewal Authority.

In Douglas County's District 2, the most conservative commissioner district, I won the June 2025 election with the highest number of votes among 12 candidates.

In July of 2025, I became a member of the STEM school Highlands Ranch's governing Board.
